Herbs for Weight Loss #1 Cayenne
Cayenne pepper is a strong antioxidant.ย It boosts metabolism.ย It aids in digestion and reduces hunger.ย It reduces fat buildup by removing fat cells from your bloodstream, triggering beneficial protein changes in your body.ย It is also anti-inflammatory and soothes stomach pain.ย It fights cancer and is anti-tumour, as well.
Herbs for Weight Loss #2ย Ginger
Ginger is another warming spice that has anti-inflammatory properties.ย It soothes and relaxes the digestive tract.ย Ginger has an appetite suppressing quality and reduces hunger, while increasing metabolic rate, helping you to burn more calories.
Herbs for Weight Loss #3ย Saigon Cinnamon
Don’t use regular cinnamon for this recipe.ย Saigon cinnamon is more potent without the toxic effects.ย Cinnamon helps to boost your metabolism, and it also has impressive benefits for blood sugar regulation, making it an ideal seasoning for people with diabetes or pre-diabetes. Cinnamon has been found to significantly reduce blood sugar levels, triglycerides, LDL (bad) cholesterol, and total cholesterol levels in people with type 2 diabetes, as well as increase glucose metabolism by about 20 times, which would significantly improve your ability to regulate blood sugar.ย Cinnamon is also high in antioxidants and is a powerful immune booster.ย It is anti-fungal and anti-viral.ย Extracts of cinnamon are being used to combat avian influenza and swine flu in hospitals in Israel.
Herbs for Weight Loss #4ย Turmeric
Turmeric is a potent antioxidant.ย It is anti-tumour and fights free radical damage.ย It boosts the immune system and increases metabolism.ย Curcumin, one of turmeric’s most thoroughly studied active ingredients, reduces the formation of fat tissue by suppressing the blood vessels needed to form it and therefore may contribute to lower body fat and body weight gain.
To make the capsules, mix the ingredients.ย Follow the directions that came with your capsule machine to fill the capsules.ย I’m using “0” size capsules and the “0” size capsule machine.

Buy your powdered herbs locally from a store with a high turnover in organic spices and herbs, so that you know they are the freshest possible.ย If you don’t have a local source of certified organic herbs and spices, I highly recommend Mountain Rose Herbs.
Swallow these down with green tea, ACV in water, or kombucha โ 2 to 3 capsules before meals, 3 times a day.ย Donโt forget to exercise for 30 minutes a day and let me know how it works for you.ย It should make you feel a little flushed and if it does, you know it’s working.

One of the side effects of these herbal capsules for weight loss is managing your blood pressure naturally.ย Cinnamon, turmeric, cayenne, and ginger normalize blood sugar, strengthen the heart and blood vessels, as well as help you metabolize body fat for energy, and increase your metabolic rate.ย Herbs are just one part of a holistic way to manage your blood pressure naturally.

I’m going to try this when my turmeric/ginger capsules run out. Or maybe I’ll make a cinnamon/cayenne/mustard capsule to take with the t/g caps. One question though – what’s the purpose and the benefit of the mustard? Thanks!
Debbie Batten says
Hi Chris! Thanks for the recipe. I bought my supplies today, and am anxious to try it. Should I try to take the capsules a few minutes before meals, or can they be consumed immediately before eating?

Thank you for this information! I wanted to know how many capsules does one mix make? I’m asking because I’m on a budget right now and I want to purchase closer to what I need for a few months to get started as I build my stash.
Joybilee Farm says
About 200.

I’m having trouble finding the Saigon cinnamon on Mountain Rose Herbs website. Is that where you buy it?
Joybilee Farm says
I bought mine locally. You can use the Mountain Rose Herb cinnamon. Some folks have reported an increase in blood pressure with regular cinnamon, but said it was a food sensitivity to cinnamon. So just see how you react. I think you could also omit the cinnamon is its hard to get or you find that it doesn’t work for you. Each of the herbs alone will help both with weight loss and with regulating blood pressure by supporting blood vessels and heart, and by increasing metabolism.
Nadia says
I use Ceylon Cinnamon that i bought from a natural health food store.

Question, how much (ex. 1/4 tsp, 1/8 tsp) goes into a capsule? I ask because I would like to know what a dosage is, this way I could make this up and just take the mixture without purchasing and filling the capsules. Thanks for your help.
Joybilee Farm says
Each capsule holds 500 mg. 1 tsp is 5000mg.(5 grams) So a capsule is about 1/10th of a tsp. They do sell very small spoons. You could also just not worry about the dose and serve up the spices as masala chai or curried food. The capsules are just to make it easy to swallow.
