This loofah soap is a great option for gifts, for a make and take workshop, or just to make to pamper yourself. Loofah’s are more exfoliating than a bath sponge, and best of all their natural and renewable. If you live in zone six or higher, you can even grow your own loofah gourds for sponges!
Handmade soap is a great gift for any time of year. During the holidays, when lots of gifts are being given, is a frequent time to batch create handmade soap. This handmade loofah soap is simple to make, and packs some serious gift-ability for how simple it is.`

There are many other handmade soap options too. We have a special snowflake soap, with white and dark blue melt and pour soap. We’ve even designed a gingerbread soap recipe for the holidays. So if including sliced luffa in your soap doesn’t appeal, try out some of these other soap recipes too.
Use your favorite essential oils blend for this soap for that extra special touch. There are often new essential oil blends available from places like Plant Therapy, during this time of year. You can even make each bar of soap a different scent, if you wish.
One of the major benefits to handmade soap is being able to make them from natural ingredients, and avoiding fragrance oils and chemicals. Most melt and pour soap base is simply a glycerin base, which you can add additional ingredients too, including herbs, essential oils, natural colors, and more.
Handmade Loofah Soap
Build the scrubber into the soap with this fun and sweetly scented loofah soap. Why loofah? It’s a natural gourd scrubber that you can grow in your own garden, or sometimes source locally. It’s a great for exfoliation and removing dead skin cells from the skin surface. It’s gentle enough for sensitive skin, and the loofah doesn’t toughen up with use, it actually gets softer.
