One of our most popular topics on Joybilee Farm is natural health and herbal remedy information. It’s important that if you are going to use these home remedies that you understand how herbs work and educate yourself. It’s one of the most powerful things you can do for your family’s health.
I started working through the Intermediate Herbal Course with the Herbal Academy of New England in May. It’s one of the most enjoyable distance learning courses I’ve ever signed up for. From it I’ve gained new inspiration in my personal pursuit of holistic health, as well as greater confidence to share what I’m learning about herbal remedies with my readers. Signing up was one of the best decisions I’ve made this year.
The course materials are well written, comprehensive, and media-rich — definitely not boring. And I’m finding some fresh recipes for herbal remedies to try with my own family. I’ve shared a few of them with you already. If you are contemplating pursuing your interest in herbs in a more systematic way, this new Introductory Herbal Course could be just the ticket to give you a good foundation.
That’s why we are thrilled to announce this amazing giveaway.
We are giving away ONE (1) Free Enrolment into the online Introductory Herbal Course, a home study program for beginners in plant medicine, in partnership with the Herbal Academy of New England. That’s a $195 value!

I would be so excited to win this! Our medical community is so far off the mark. They seem at a loss to help many patients. The need is high to get back what we have lost. My desire to learn has been tempered by our financial situation. So, bring it on! Thank you for all you do!
Tessa Peters says
In my excitement I forgot to share that I would love to be able to help my family achieve good health and wellness with those plants that God gave us. I see many of these plants just growing in my back yard awaiting someone with knowledge to put them to use.
Melissa - Mystic Hearth Homestead says
I’ve been interested in herbalism for quite a while now and have learned a good bit on my own. It would be amazing to take a course and have more guidance along my journey. We are beginning homesteaders working toward self-sufficiency, and I believe knowledge of herbs and their uses is large part of that plan.
Mary Campbell says
I’ve always been interested in natural medicine. I mostly self study so I would love to learn directly by experts in the field. I believe natural way is the best way for most issues.

Just in the last few months I have been foraging and learning about herbal medicine. Just finished making some herbal cough syrups and would love to be able to learn more.
I’m interested in everything. Especially learning how to be self sufficient in my own health and getting away from modern medicine.

This would be a wonderful gift. My Grandma had knowledge of herbs and how to use them. I was young and didn’t realize how important that knowledge that it would be now that I am living a self-sufficient life.

This would be a wonderful gift. My Grandma had knowledge of herbs and how to use them. I was young and didn’t realize how important that knowledge would be know that I am living a clean, green and self-sufficient lifestyle.
I’ve always wanted to know more about how to use herbs and how to forage for safe ‘weeds’, but it all seems so overwhelming I give up before I even get started. I think the best part of this is the actual organized program. The program sounds fun and not overwhelming, that’s exciting!
Stacy Thomas says
I’ve been starting to grow more herbs and to read some on what I can do with these, but a “course” would be awesome!
Dawn Godwin says
A course like this would be so beneficial to help learn the different plants. I have been trying on my own through books and websites.
I would love to expand my knowledge of herbs as I help people who can benefit from them. What I’ve used so far as always been helpful but I know an intentional study would be a great asset to what I’m already doing.
I’ve been studying herbs and essential oils for years but even more so over the last 3 trying to find help for my wife who suffers from severe psoriasis. I would love to advance my knowledge to help her.
Teresa Kral says
I am looking forward to learning how to help my overall health in the long journey to being fully functional and healthy through the application of everyday herbal use.
I would love to have a great basic foundation like this to start from. I have a few books to refer to when needed, but it would be nice to take an actual class on herbal medicine so I would be able to better care for my family.
Winning a chance to learn a new skill to help others would be wonderful, thanks so much.
What a blessing this will be to the winner! I’ve always been interested in herbalism, but have never taken a “formal” study course. Any studies have been limited to listening to podcasts, and looking this up as the need arises. I’m so glad you are enjoying your studies.
Tara Kimball says
I would love to learn more about holistic health and the use of herbs in healing my family. I love the curriculum, but I would be excited for units 4 and 5 especially!
This looks like an excellent course. One thing I’d be more interested to learn about is precisely how to use the herbs in dosages and preparations.
Wow! Would love to win this and learn more about Holistic health!
April Browning says
I am just starting to learn a few natural healing tinctures for my family and alpacas. I have been so pleased with the results that I would love to learn more!

I have suffered from stomach issues for over 8 years. I recently found out it was due to numerous food allergies. Along the way, my system has gotten totally out of whack and have developed other various health issues. Medications have been out of the question since they usually have to pass through the stomach. Plus I do not like anything synthetic in my system. I have grown a real interest in natural medicines and would LOVE to learn more through this course. It is my dream to one day learn enough to be able to help/teach others about the natural alternatives to medicine.
I have wanted to take an herbal course for so long! I am always reading and studying books and blogs about herbs. I have bought a lot of dried herbs and use them daily. Also I grew about 20 medicinal herbs in my greenhouse this spring so that I can learn to recognize them and learn to dry them. I would love to win!
Sue Coleman says
Herbs and all of their uses have always held great interest for me. I’ve read and have educated myself and continue to learn as much as I can about herbalism. I had no idea a course like this existed. It would be great to win, but either way, this is a course I look forward to taking. Thank you. I have learned so much from you and your website I wouldn’t be half the homesteader I am today.
Teresa worden says
Hi! I really really want to win!

This would be amazing. We are slowly becoming more self sustainable. This would just help a little more.

Anything related to herbs is a passion for me. I’ve even entertained thoughts about becoming a certified herbalist. It would be an enormous blessing to be the winner of such an excellent prize…one that would be of enormous benefit to my family. My particular interest centers around medicinal herbs. We live in the country, and foraging would also be perfect for our lifestyle. I have so much to learn in any area of herbology.
Thank you for offering such a valuable giveaway.
This would be so helpful around our house. We just learned the difference in elderberries and I’m sure there many more important things we need to learn!
I started the intermediate course before this one started and would love to do both. Knowledge is power and there is a lot of important knowledge in the course offered.
I started my journey toward learning about herbal healing and wellness about 2 years ago, but have only been piecing it together through blog posts here and other blogs. I’ve been able to learn a great deal this way, but would love to have the opportunity for more structured and formal education. Thank you for this chance to win!

Although I’m currently taking the Intermediate Herbal Course, I’d love to take this one, too. Especially the section on Holistic Health. Finding out how all the different aspects of alternative health fit together will make my herbal use more appropriate and less like alleopathic medicine at home.
Leesa Stevens says
I have been moving toward a natural lifestyle and this could be the final piece of the puzzle to help my journey. I am looking at the possibility of some major health challenges and want every tool possible to create a healing environment in my life and this would be a terrific start.
Diane Maxwell says
This would work hand in hand with what I already do but with would help me expand into more practical applications. I know a few ‘bits and pieces’ but not enough to be truly useful – having this in one course would be priceless. *fingers crossed* 🙂

One must know nature to know oneself, to know oneself is to bee a good steward of the land and people. I haven’t much money and live quietly, this course would be such a blessing. I am also a Bee Guardian and am very excited to combine Apitherapy & herbal medicine for knowledge and healthful purposes. I hope to pass traditional and accurate knowledge on to family and community some day. Thank you for this opportunity to possibly make that dream come true~ To Bee in service always, Lynn ~
This sounds so awesome! I would really love to win!

I am not sure what one I am more excited about.. cause they all look amazing, but the foraging is probably the one I would look most forward to learning more about. Then it is a toss up between nervous system and body care. 🙂
