This Earth Day Giveaway is aย joint venture with the Homestead Bloggers Network, of which Joybilee Farm is a member, and Buy Green.com.ย I have to confess that I had never heard of Buy Green until I was asked to participate in this giveaway with my fellow Homestead Bloggers.ย But as you know, I am very motivated to invest in sustainable living and to tell you about practical ways to live more sustainably, so I hopped over to the Buy Green.com site to see what this company was all about.ย And I was totally amazed at the variety and breadth of their products to improve your life and sustain your eco-lifestyle.
From hemp shoulder bags to compost bins they’ve got items in every price range for every area of your life.ย Sweet!ย So leave a comment here, and tell me what you’d pick from their website if you won the $250 gift certificate to buygreen.com.
And don’t forget to enter the draw.ย You can’t win if you don’t enter.
My favorite item was the solar back packs for charging your electronic devices.ย Take your lap top with you and always be fully charged.
This year’s Earth Day Theme is “The Face of Climate Change.”ย Expect to see stories from around the world of people affected by difficult weather, drought, floods, and sudden violent storms.

I’ve been wanting one of those backpacks for sometime now
Lyana says
I too love the solar backpack but another contender is also the compost tumbler. Looks like several of us think alike. Hmmm. Thanks for the giveaway.
Cyndi says
I think I’d pick something solar, too! Can’t decide — yet. Lots of neat products. Thanks for the site.
Denelle Pappier says
Hemp towels, sprouting kit, yogurt maker, so many things!
Maria Reaser says
There is much I could use, but the laundry POD seems like it would be very helpful. Its out of stock right now, but I can wait
Kathleen says
Oh my! Sooo much too choose from! Definitely the solar backpack! Thank you for the chance!
Rhonda Elvin says
I would so like that backpack…or anything made from Hemp.
Jaime says
I love the idea of the solar backpack!
Leona McEachern says
Awesome! Love the look of the solar chargers!! Thanks for the opportunity to win a g/c!
Billie says
So many things I would choose, love the solar backpack but I’m always in need of extra baby clothes!
Liz says
There’s just so much to choose from! Having a hard time ๐ But I think First on my list would be the stackable recycling containers. Something in hemp…I just love hemp. Definately would share with my daughter who is expecting her first baby in July and wants to go natural with baby care products.
Kathie Bryant says
One that I really liked is the Killarny Hoodie tunic. Sure wouldn’t have any trouble using the Gift Certificate ;;; so many good choices.
Stacy says
Do I have to choose right now? I’d love some of those clothes and some kitchen stuff, and some gardening items, and the solar chargers are amazing….. LOL!! Thanks for all you do!

I am in love with the Rukus Solar Powered Sound System…. but I’d probably be responsible and use the gift card to update my disaster preparedness kit.

So many products! I could use the bike tube panniers – they’d be far more waterproof than my current setup, and I do live on the rainy west coast. Thanks for the contest!
Victoria says
l really like that solar backpack!
Patti says
My daughter just moved into her own place this past weekend, so I would probably give or share with her. As she and her fiancรฉ love to hike, snow shoe etc. I think they could find plenty of items they would like.
Michelle says
I would buy the a Joraform Composting Tumbler. Would love to have one of these, but can’t justify the expense. With a $250 gift card, the cost would be manageable, and I can continue to compost without the back strain of periodically turning the pile by shovel.
Thanks!
Laureen says
Definitely the solar backpack. I live on a sailboat, and solar charging is mission critical.
Joybilee Farm says
Nice. Definitely a good choice.
Mallory Cook says
I am having a hard time deciding what I would choose. So many awesome choices!! I might choose the bamboo plates, or baby clothes. Or even save up for the lo rider sofa that thing is cool!
Wren says
The solar backpack you listed looks awesome… I might choose that or a composter and other garden goodies! I still need one that will fit on my balcony. ๐
