ย A lot of the Homestead lifestyle is about making healthier choices, eating organically, growing your own food, and pushing back from the corporate control of your lifestyle, which keeps people sick, dependent,ย and broken.
In fact,
ย statistics show that about 2/3rds of American adults are obese or overweight.
1 out of every 3 people will have cancer sometime in their life.ย By 2020, the estimated ratio increases to 1 out of every 2 with cancer.
795,000 people suffer from strokes each year; 1.5 million suffer from heart attacks.
Heart disease is on the rise, thyroid problems, panic attacks, depression, fibromyalgia, IBS, …and the list could go on and on!
ย These facts make US citizens one of the most unhealthiest groups of people in the world!
Canadians don’t fall far behind in these statistics.

I am new to the homesteader’s lifestyle and am currently working on a container garden – I would love to be able to put in some raised beds and get my kids more involved in growing our food.

I was just looking at backup generators and I would like to get one so this would really help pay for that. My only heat source is electricity at the moment. I am also sourcing woodstoves … the kind you can cook on.
Amanda Klenner says
I need to stock up on some bulk herbs, bees wax, and some more rare essential oils I dont have yet! I also need a mixer, food processor, and a personal chef to use them for me ๐
Joybilee Farm says
Personal chef would be nice. โบ

The one thing it’s really horrible that I don’t have is a shower filter. I am still exposed to chlorine and flouride in the shower. I am also working on planting a lot of edibles in my yard; I buy from small farms now, but it’s so much more sustainable to simply have your own.
Fran Kwiecien (Kew) says
I would like to switch to Virgin Coconut Oil that Joybilee Farms keeps raving about (*grins*) as well as set up more veggie beds in my yard. This would really help me with both! Thank you so much.
Rachelle says
We’re having more veges nowadays, growing some of them even though it’s winter here. We had some lovely lettuce last night; a cold hardy variety and the kale is almost big enough to pick again. Really trying to kick the sugar habit as well, that one is very hard!
Katie B. says
I have already gotten my dehydrator, but I’m really looking forward to stocking up on soybeans, grains, and items in bulk to make even more of our food all on my own. I’m slowly adding on more equipment and getting more flour and other staples in bulk, but it really takes time when you are staying on a budget. This prize would really help me!
Kristina says
I’ve really, really want to buy a grain mill for my family. This would make it possible! Thanks for the giveaway.
Joybilee Farm says
That’s great, Kristina. Grain mills are very handy.
