Creative Spark Day 4 – A Word
How are your daily creative sparks coming?ย Are you enjoying the playful exercises?ย Doodling and playing with colour, texture, lines, and words in a creative way can expand the neuropathways in your brain and offer you greater creative thinking.ย A study done in Ontario reported that art and music provided protection for the brain in dementia, alzheimers, and stroke.ย Another good reason for creative play every day.
The Creative Spark only takes 15 minutes a day, so grab a cup of tea or your favorite beverage, some paper and a few art supplies and come play with me.
Today’s Creative Spark is easy.
Materials for Creative Spark 4:
Pencil Crayons or Water Colour Pencils
Watercolours
Artist Trading Cards or other paper that you have on hand
Permanent Ink Pens
Permanent Marker in Gold, Silver or Bronze ย
Directions:
Pick a word that is meaningful to your journey.ย My word was “Joy” but you can choose any word that is meaningful to you.ย (hope, love, peace, home, farm, culture, etc.)
Then consider what the word means to you right now.
Draw a sketch that illustrates your feelings about that special word.ย I’ve done 3 examples from my journey to show you how varied your art can be.
Be sure to take a picture and post your finished Creative Spark on my Facebook wall, on your Facebook timeline, or on Pinterest.
Enjoy!
If you are new to the 30 Days of Creative Sparks, Creative Sparks are 15 minute creative exercises to help you relax and develop new neuropathways that increase your creative thinking.ย They are useful to help you solve problems on the homestead and they help you work through challenges by relaxing the mind.
You can join in at any time in the process, or click on the Creative Spark navigation tag and it will take you to a page with all the exercises.ย The most important thing is to have fun.ย If you’ve got homeschoolers share the Creative Spark with them, too, and share it on the Facebook page if you like.
