Homemade spice mixes are a great alternative to the store-bought packages with all their additives. One of the easiest things to make from scratch and keep in your pantry is homemade taco seasoning.

  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons cumin
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon oregano
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

  • Combine all the ingredients in a small jar.
  • Mix well to combine.

You can use this to make tacos or chili, and you can add it to meat or soup for a nice flavor kick. Adjust the spices to make this your own, and store it in a little jar in your pantry.
