A quick and basic eggnog recipe
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups whole milk
- 2 whole eggs (pasturized liquid egg if you don’t have farm fresh available)
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly gratted nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon rum (1 teaspoon rum flavoring if serving to kids)
- 1–2 tablespoons sugar
Instructions
- Pour milk and egg into a small blender
- Add spices, rum or rum flavoring, and sugar
- pulse blend for 5-15 seconds
- Serve cold
Notes
This eggnog won’t be quite as thick or smooth as commercial eggnog, but the flavor will be the same.
Makes two adult servings, or four children sized servings
