The complete blueprint to learn herbs, craft local herbal remedies, and build a reliable and safe herbal apothecary over and over again.
In this third workshop, in the “Wildcrafted Wellness” Series, I’m going to outline the exact blueprint you need to find the herbs you need and to turn them into potent, reliable, and effective herbal remedies, so you can have a safe and reliable herbal apothecary to draw on when health challenges come up in your family. Those who had this gift in March of 2020, had piece of mind and an effective strategy to help their loved ones during the World Wide pandemic. You can have that too.
If you’ve ever been confused about how all the pieces of learning herbs fit together, and more importantly, what goes into learning herbs, and creating your own herbal well being, by crafting the exact herbal remedies you need, this video is for you.
Workshop Objective:
Today I’m going to build on what we already discussed by giving you the complete blueprint for using weeds, wild plants, or herbs you grow in your garden, to make potent, reliable, and effective herbal remedies. Once you get this down, you’ll start gaining confidence in identifying, harvesting, and crafting herbal remedies and replacing many of the products you might currently be stocking in your bathroom medicine cabinet. You’ll be started on the path of crafting your own herbal apothecary.
By the end of this video, you’ll have so much clarity about using your local herbs and you’ll see how everything fits together.
I’m also going to share the strategies I use to gather my local herbs and turn them into herbal preparations that fill my herbal apothecary every year. Once you use this, you’ll never have to worry about running out of elderberry or echinacea in December when the cold and flu season is at its height, and everyone at the grocery store is coughing up a lung.
This will help you break free of that frustration, and is the key in helping you confidently learn to use herbs and grow your herbal knowledge and intuition so you can be self-reliant in herbal remedies, ditch the drug store and save your medical visits for the truly serious medical emergencies.

I am Growing and headed for Blossoming! Can’t wait to keep moving along in my herbal journey. Thank you for confirming all that I know and look forward to adding to my herbal knowledge!

I listened and was encouraged to decant what I had underway. Many sources say let it sit for 8 weeks but I turn these things every day and I can’t imagine some of them needed another month. So I used your 1 month idea (actually it is 5 weeks today for these) The motherwort I have strained and bottled looks like liquid tar so I don’t think it needed more time. Yarrow, passionflower, burdock root. But I keep the Hawthorn rolling as I go through it. I enjoy your offerings. Thank you.
PS I use your potato ricer suggestion, as well!

Using the herbalist and listening to the video I think I’m at an advanced stage. Although I had an herb garden for years, it was used mainly for cooking. It wasn’t until your programs that I started making salves and simple applications. On your recommendation I purchased the “Backyard Herbal Apothecary” by Devon Young. Thank you Chris for all your help and gentle pushes.

Awesome. Devon’s book is great.

I’m a real beginner – just herbal teas from the store. Now, I plan to pick a few local herbs to focus on each month. This is going to be fun!
Joybilee Farm says
That’s so good to hear. Which herb will you start with?
