Description
Homemade garlic powder is more healthy and flavourful than anything that you can buy in the store.
Ingredients
- Garlic cloves
- Dehydrator
- Spice Grinder (or Coffee Grinder)
Instructions
- Separate the cloves of garlic from each head. Peel each one
- Lay the garlic cloves on your dehydrator trays and dry until crisp and brittle
- Allow them to cool completely
- Using a spice grinder or a coffee grinder, grind the dried garlic cloves into a fine powder. You may need to allow your grinder to rest between batches if you have a lot of garlic to grind
- Store your delicious ground garlic in a mason jar with a tight-fitting lid
Notes
- Your garlic will remain raw as it dries and is good for medicinal use, too
- Large garlic cloves can be cut in half to speed the drying time
